I feel like dad was selfish scattering my mum ashes without telling me when we had her at home for such a long time

I am sorry for the way you are feeling. Bereavement and Grief affects everyone in a different way as to emotions and how we act.

Have you considered speaking to your dad and asking him why he did this, were there instructions in a Will or a written request from your mum as to her ashes being scattered?

I do hope you and your dad will have the opportunity to discuss this and you will understanding his reasons as to why he scattered your mums ashes without telling you.
