Sorry to hear this - I lost my eldest son in November, he was 40. Totally unexpected.
A massive shock to all.
It will be 11 weeks tomorrow that I got the call.
There are lots of supportive people on here who have lost adult children. It does help me to find out we are having similar thoughts and feelings.
Look up the thread ‘ my son died aged 33 ‘

Sorry for the loss of your son so suddenly. I’m still in thr process of bagging up clothes etc what to keep and what to throw out. I lost both my parents in my 20’s but absolutly nothing prepares you for this.

No, it’s a different level.
I had to empty Ben’s house in 4 weeks as it was a Housing Association. I went there 2 days after he was found and bagged loads of things up for rubbish - with hindsight I realise I was angry and just did it in a rush.
The rest of his things I’ve slowly been doing but I just get upset each time.
I’m now in the process of arranging the interment of his ashes.
