Birthday

Today is the first year without my son on his birthday. He would have been 33. Ive cried so much in the last two days and today was by far the worst. I took off today knowing it would be bad but in struggling so bad.

Hello Tasha333, I’m so very sorry for the loss of your son. I lost my own son at the age of 34 so I understand how deeply painful birthdays can be.
There is nothing anyone can say to make the pain of losing a child go away. On his birthday, perhaps finding little ways to remember your son may bring some comfort — lighting a candle, visiting his resting place, talking about him, or spending some quiet time thinking of all the memories you shared.

Sending you so much love, strength and g hugs on this difficult day. :growing_heart: :people_hugging:

Thank you so much. I try so hard to think of the nice things, he was such an amazing son. Even though he lived at home we spoke everyday at lunch. This has been the hardest few months of my life. Thank you again, I’m really trying hard too think of those precious moments but I’m really struggling.

My James would have been 33 in May this year, its our 2nd birthday without him. Year 1 is all about self preservation and survival, year 2 arrives and pushes your endurance to limits that you never knew existed.

I forever picture how James’s future would look and i smile at the goals that i know he would have achieved. My wonderful James may not be here but his life continues to be celebrated. I embrace every memory that dance through my heart.

The longing to have James back will never leave me. My head knows that i will never see him yet my heart continues to search for him in crowds. Remembering James is easy, i do it every day and he will forever be celebrated by his family who adored him.

Losing James has taught me to love deeper, live better and show kindness.

I look at his beautiful face and know that no matter how hard this journey is, i owe it to my James to embrace the life that he has lost.

I have 31 years of memories, bear hugs, laughter and endless love that will never be forgotten. James will never be forgotten.

Sending love to you all xx
