Monday will be my 60th birthday and my everything was planning to take me away for a few days. Little did we know what would change. I’m dreading it. The mother in law wants me round for tea this week as I’m going over to England to be with my son. With out sounding stupid how can I say no to her. The house has to many good memories off my wee wifey

Tell her how you feel in the nicest way you can. You don’t want to go because the memories will hurt. it’s not that you don’t want to see her on a personal level. So why not take her out for a slap-up tea instead. You are in control.
