can anyone help?

I don’t even know if anyone will see this, but I really need someone to talk to…Please.

I made this account because I have nobody. I don’t know where else to go or who else to tell. I feel like I am drowning and I just need someone to talk to for a little while because I am not okay.

Three months ago, I lost my son Jamie. He was only 8 years old. My only child.

And I don’t know how to explain the emptiness that came after losing him.

The house is so quiet now. Too quiet. It feels like the walls are closing in. I walk around and everything reminds me of him. His things are still here. His memories are everywhere. But he isn’t here. Why can’t make my brain accept that.

I would do anything to hear his voice again. Anything to have him walk through the door. Anything to have one more normal day with my little boy.

I am so miserable, I hate my life.

I feel like I am completely alone in this.

My wife is grieving too, and I know she is hurting more than I can imagine, but she has shut me out. She doesn’t talk to me. She doesn’t look at me the same way anymore. I know she lost her son too, but I feel like I lost my wife along with him, and now I’m sitting in this house with all this pain and nobody to share it with.

I have tried to be strong. I really have. But I can’t keep pretending I’m okay. Believe me…but i’m not okay.

I am so tired. I feel empty. I feel broken. I feel like a part of me died the day Jamie did.

People say things like “take it one day at a time,” but I don’t even know how to get through one hour sometimes. I don’t want advice. I don’t need someone to tell me everything happens for a reason. I just need someone to talk to. I need someone to hear me.

Please, if anyone is awake or has been through something like this, can you talk to me? Please I beg you.

Even if it’s just a few messages. Even if you don’t know what to say. I don’t want to be alone with my thoughts right now.

I miss my son so much…I just want Jamie back

Please talk to me… :disappointed_face::disappointed_face:

It’s coming up to 3 years end of Aug that I lost my 22 year old son Steffan. Everyday I think how is it possible to get through each day with this unbearable pain of grief. My deep love for my son keeps me wanting to keep his spirit and essence alive and I’m always looking for ways to try and connect with him even though I just want him here in person to care for like I did everyday of his life. You are not alone , keep going and use this site to talk to others

My 24 year old healthy son died in his sleep in march 2025. I feel every bit of the pain today that I felt when he died last year. Everything that you have described, is just how things are with us only my husband is the only one I can talk to about our son. Everyone else seems to have “ moved on “. We have everything our son owned, phone, laptop, ereader, iPad , always charged up. We have all his clothes in his wardrobe and drawers. Everything except him. What I would give to have him alive and well with us.

So please know you are not alone. We are all here for each other. We know what you are going through. Talk to us at any time. Scream. Shout. We feel your pain. We are going through it too.

Sending you a huge big hug x

I’m crying and feeling such a loneliness and emptiness that I must be here now to find a relief…

Good evening @justin103us I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling. I am so sorry that you are also estranged from your wife. Glad you found your way here, it won’t solve your problems or ease your pain, but it helps to just write it down and get responses from folks in like situations. I lost my husband, and then a love I found later. My pain doesn’t compare to yours, but we are all in pain, and compassion and empathy are found here. Cindy :pink_heart:

Hi Justin,

I’m so deeply sorry to hear of your son’s passing. The pain is like no other. I lost my daughter 7 weeks ago. Life will never be the same again, we will never be the same again.

It is some days hour by hour. And I’m trying to just go with it and accept how I’m feeling each day. There’s no right or wrong way.

I’m sorry you’re feeling so alone right now. Do you know if there’s any local support groups or do you have any friends/family you feel comfortable reaching out to? I find talking about my daughter helps.

What was Jamie like?

I really hope you’ve managed to find some joy in your day if not now sometime soon.

Take care for now

Jen

I’ll have a name day and my most beloved husband a birthday soon. I’ve created this order as a gift for him. I’ll hang it on my scooter or backpack…
