June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, a special occasion which encourages communities to come together in celebration, protest and unity.
Today, LGBTQ+ people are still having to fight for their rights and are often not able to safely be their authentic selves.
During grief, there are certain challenges that someone who identifies as LGBTQ+ may face when trying to come to terms with their bereavement.
Throughout Pride Month, we want to raise awareness that our Online Community is a safe space for anyone who is LGBTQ+ to seek grief support.
If you identify as LGBTQ+ and have found the Online Community to be helpful as you cope with grief, we want to hear from you.
We would like to feature quotes from our LGBTQ+ members on our social media channels. The quotes would be completely anonymous - we won’t include your username.
If you would like to help us spread the word that our community is a safe place for LGBTQ+ people who are grieving, you can share your experiences of the community on this thread. If you’d prefer to share your thoughts privately, or have any questions, you can email me at online.community@sueryder.org
Thank you
