Hi everyone.
I’m struggling and could use some advice. I’m grieving the loss of my mom, but what’s making it even harder is the feeling that her death may have involved medical negligence. No one from the hospital ever came to explain what happened. A doctor just came in to pronounce her time of death—but even he said he was just sent and didn’t know anything about her case.
How do you begin to cope with not only the pain of losing someone you love, but also the anger and confusion when you feel like something wasn’t right and you’re left with no answers?

Hi @geegee24,
Thank you for reaching out. I’m so sorry for the loss of your mom. You are not alone - many of our members have lost their moms and will understand some of what you’re going through.
You’ve asked for advice on how to cope. I wanted to share some Sue Ryder resources with you that can help you cope with grief.
From looking at your profile, I think you might be in the US. I’ve found some information on requesting medical records, if this is something you’re thinking of doing to find answers.
Take good care and keep reaching out,
Seaneen

Is it possible to have these in the UK?
I’ve also never been given real answers what happened to my mum.

Hello @Adam86, I’m sorry you’ve not gotten the answers you need. I found some guidance on this process in the UK here:
PALS also has information on how to make a complaint about an NHS service here:
Take care,
