Hi everyone,
As Father’s Day approaches this Sunday, we know you may be feeling a mixture of emotions if you’re grieving your dad, or someone who was like a dad to you.
Grief is such an individual experience, and what feels right for one person might not feel right for another.
If you need support, we have some guidance on coping with Father’s Day and the lead up to it.
You might also want to share a photo or favourite memory on our dedication wall if you’d like to.
We recognise that Father’s Day can be especially difficult if you’re a parent grieving the loss of a child. The Compassionate Friends (www.tcf.org.uk) support families who have lost a child of any age. They also offer a grief companion scheme, where you can receive one-to-one support from another bereaved parent, and a helpline on 0345 123 2304.
No matter how you’re feeling about Father’s Day this year, please remember the community is here for you - you’re not alone ![]()
