Coping with Lose of my Mum

Having Lost my Mum 5 weeks ago and her Funeral just over a week ago,i’m finding it hard to cope when i’m not working.
Today is a day off,i needed to go shopping,i had to force myself out the door after crying,i can understand the term used about People dying of a Broken Heart.
Mum was my friend,we’d talk on the phone for an hour each time, twice a week until recently as Mum got too weak to speak much.
No one can replace that.
I think what makes things worse is that i lost my sister to Cancer 2 years ago, aged 49,the same month as Mum,she too took interest in me and always asked about the family.
I feel left behind by both of them.

Hello @SarahJane60 ,

I’m part of the Online Community team and I can see that you are new to the community - I’d like to thank you for bravely starting this thread and sharing how you are feeling left behind and that you are finding your free time difficult. I’m so sorry to hear about your mum and sister. Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one and so will understand some of what you are going through.

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share a few Sue Ryder resources with you that might be helpful.

I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.

Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.

Take care,
Alex
