Hi Everyone,
Today it said in the news about the sad passing of Dame Maggie Smith, this is such a sad loss, she was such an amazing actress, I have found memories of watching her movies with mom, my favourites were first wives club, keeping mom, sister act (1 & 2), & Poirot Evil under the sun.
For me personally, it always makes me feel sad when I hear of someone passing at such a ripe old age, (she was 89,) because when my mom passed 3 years ago, she was only 64, … So young. If I had to describe my mom, I would say, she was a force of nature, she was a strong, formidable woman, she was stubborn, Sometimes that was her downfall, we didn’t always see eye to eye, & had our share of disagreements, but when all is said & done, I will remember her, for her strength, her intelligence, & her love.
It is sad when anyone dies what ever age .My son was only 47 last year when he died of secondary bone cancer, he died within 3 months . He had special needs, but he had helped so many people with his love of people, kind heart and he cared.
In the end with all he suffered he was so Brave and we loved him so much.
I believe Janey Godly is now in a bad way with cancer and she is only 63 . Life is so unfair
The only relief I have , is before he died he said I got to go now they have come, I said where he said death. I had that feeling someone had come for him .
Hi @Pest
Thanks for your kind words. Sorry to hear about your son’s passing, you’re right, life is so unfair, no parent should ever go through the heartache of loosing a child. Some how it seems all the more harsh when these things happen to good kind & caring people, but in a weird way, it’s reassuring to know they’re with us in spirit. Sending hugs of support.
