Dancing with a limp.

Having recently announced that I was going to take a little “rest”, I must apologise for posting again so soon! However, I have just come across this quote and immediately thought that I should share it with you all: I think it speaks volumes:

“You will lose someone you can’t live without, and your heart will be badly broken, and the bad news is that you never completely get over the loss of your beloved.
But this is also the good news. They live forever in your broken heart that doesn’t seal back up. And you come through. It’s like having a broken leg that never heals perfectly - that still hurts when the weather gets cold - but you learn to dance with the limp” Anne Lamott (American author)

Take care everyone x

Hello AG. Thank you for your quote. It reminds me too of “Learning to dance in the rain…”
Both very apt. I came across a couple of poems today but not sure whether to post as they’re probably more for those of us a little further on in our grief journey…xx

Please don’t leave the forum. You are still giving us inspiration, we still need people like yourself.
Today coming onto the forum has cheered me up.
Many thanks
