We lost both parents in the space of a year, i have 5 siblings and several of them have become very toxic & projecting anger, blaming me for things they cant control, its became so bad, that it was making me ill. I had to choose to walk away from it all, just to protect my own mental health and well-being, as I have long term health battles myself. I feel bad about walking away but just couldn’t deal with the constant manipulation anymore ![]()
Hello @Blinky51,
I’m part of the Online Community team and I can see that you are new to the community - I’d like to thank you for bravely sharing this with the community. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your parents in a short space of time, and the impact that this is having on your family. Many people will be able to relate to difficulties with sibling relationships after loss.
I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support. In the meantime, you may want to have a look at our page on losing a parent which walks you through some of the emotions you might be feeling. You may wish to connect with @haybee19, another member who also posted recently about losing both parents.
Many people in our community have experienced more than one bereavement, and while every loss is different, there can be comfort in connecting with others who understand what it feels like. You may find it helpful to read some of their posts here.
You may also find it helpful to have a look at our information on grief and family relationships.
I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.
Thank you again for sharing - please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.
Take care,
Harriet
