Death of my dearest friend

I lost my most dearest friend to liver failure 2 days ago , I didn’t get the chance to see him one last time and I didn’t know he had died until i received a message from someone who had seen a statement on Facebook that night . I am absolutely heartbroken, I can’t stop crying and I have no one to talk to

Hello @Flinders,

I’m part of the Online Community team and I can see that you are new to the community - I’d like to thank you for bravely starting this thread and sharing how you are feeling. I’m so sorry to hear about your dearest friend. Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one and so will understand some of what you are going through.

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share a few Sue Ryder resources with you that might be helpful.

You might also want to look at our Losing a friend category, where you can connect with others who have lost their friends.

I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.

Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.

Take care,
Seaneen

I recently lost my lovely friend from church, its strange because she was with me the day my mum died, she was such a massive part of church life i’m not sure how we will move on without her, but we will find a way and you will too, take your time and be kind to yourself x
