Depressed ?

I been suffering with a bad back for weeks and the 1 thing I keep thinking about is how mum looked after me when I was younger, which gets me emotional. But I can’t help it, even mum had been alive she wouldn’t be able to help me. But it don’t stop me thinking.

I can understand that. As you say, i dont think its even about them being to help you get better, its just about the care and nurture that they gave which is now lacking. I came down with some horrendous germs recently and was completely incapacitated and all i could think of was how Mum would have been phoning every day to check how i was. :broken_heart: Take care - I hope your eventually get some relief from your back pain. :people_hugging:

I still can’t think about mum without the tears. So many memories and being alone in the flat.

Its hard isnt it? Im staying alone in the house mum lived in, and i find it a comfort because i feel closest to her here. Just let the tears come - sometimes you need to just feel the pain, its part of the grieving process. :broken_heart:Over time, the memories may become easier to bring to mind without tears. But its still early days. :people_hugging:

It is hard, so many memories and now we are alone with those memories. So we are dealing with so much. A lonely existance.

Precisely that, so many memories and now we’re alone with them. I have a sibling who doesn’t grieve particularly much at all, so in many ways I feel like an only child, being the only one who remembers and living with all the reminders. It’s really painful.

We are all united on here, we are experiencing the same pain and all dealing with the fall out of losing a loved one. We need to support each and everyone who’s going through the same process.
