Depression

I lost my wife of 53 years at the start of the year,I thought I was coping,I now know I’m not,I’m not sleeping well ,feel weak ,tearful,nauseous. Don’t want to do anything .

Alanx I am so very sorry for your loss.
I know what you are going through, having lost my husband of 52 years 5 months ago.
I hope you have family and friends to support you. Maybe you would consider counselling, or a chat with your GP.
I find I am very up and down, and understand the not sleeping, not eating and not wanting to do anything.
It’s all such an effort, and I have to make myself go out.
I hope you get some help soon.

I’m 15 months on my new path -
My head knows hubby isn’t coming back but I still expect him to come walking thru the door or see him pottering in the garden. Knowing I won’t see him again is the hardest thing to deal with.
Day by day is does get slightly easier as you learn to adjust, I still have my moments :disappointed_relieved: and doubt if I want that to change.
