I don’t even know where to start but I’m here to ask if it gets easier? For context I’m 27
My grandma is 82 and has lived a happy long life and I’m so grateful of her. She raised me and is my only family, I’ve not dealt with death ever, and recently found out she has terminal lung cancer, she has refused chemo and signed a DNR. I can’t even explain how awful this is to hear but I have to respect her decision, she doesn’t want to know her prognosis. I live 200 miles away now and have managed to go up a few times since finding out. Every day I’m trying to put a front on and act happy and positive then I just crash every day like I feel guilty for being happy. Please can someone tell me if it does get easier, I feel awful I can’t help her like she’s helped me. Also has anyone experienced similar and have time frames? I don’t even know how to prepare
Sorry for the rant thank you
