Hi, after reading a lot of the posts here, I’m deeply touched by the openness and heartbreak here.
I’m new here, but I don’t think I belong here as I don’t really fit into the categories here.
I saw the crash that snapped my wife’s neck like a twig. And later watched my youngest son die in front of me 4 hours later. So I fit into losing a partner and losing a son.
There’s so much horror, trauma and pain attached with their deaths, I honestly find it almost impossible to cope.
Friends and family have disappeared into the woodwork leaving myself and surviving Son to go through this alone.
I’ve even had Samaritans hang up on me TWICE when I was at my lowest and contemplating ending it all.
So here I am alone, yet still having to carry on…

@Fester62 I’m glad you have a surving son. What you describe sounds incredibly hard, I am so sorry! If you fit in the category of “grieving” you definitely belong here. Check in on “how’s your day going” thread, and you will find a lot of support. I hope you rest well tonight Cindy

Very sorry to hear about your devastating losses. You actually do belong in more than one category here (unfortunately). Sure you will find helpful messages from others in both the partner and the child section, as well as the general ones…

I’m sure others will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share details of other support which you may find helpful:
