Easter

Tomorrow sees the beginning of the Easter weekend; the weather has been kinder, the birds are building nests, there are buds on the trees… and the country is tentatively moving out of another lockdown. Hope is all around us and, even if we often cannot feel it, it carries us forward - sometimes in spite of ourselves - and enables us to go on.

This appeared on my Facebook feed this morning and I wanted to share it with everyone here because it might just resonate with you and help you on your own unique journey.

" I did not go through pain and come out the other side;
Instead, I lived in it and found within that pain the grace to survive and eventually grow.
I did not get over the loss of my loved one(s);
Rather, I absorbed the pain into my life, like soil receiving decaying matter,
Until it became a part of who I now am.
Sorrow took up permanent residence in my soul and enlarged it."

May this Easter bring peace and hope to everyone on this site…and beyond!

Take care everyone x

Thank you for that. I hope you have a lovely Easter too. X

Dear Amelie’s gran, you are a little gem, always offering hope and inspiration. Thank you. Those words certainly resonate with me - my grief has indeed ‘become a part of who I am now’.
