Family arguments

My partner died 2 weeks ago and i have always been his next of kin.he didnt speak to his siblings for 5 years but i called them to be there as he passed because thought was doing a good thing.now they are trying to take over as next of kin and push me out of any funeral arrangements whatsoever …so trying to grieve my loss of 17 years is being ruined with all this, dont know which way to turn.my partner didnt have a will, always told me to take everything and call his funeral plan when died to arrange his funeral.

Bless your heart, that is awful, why do people behave that way? You clearly knew him better than they did after all those years together. We always tell out partners our wishes and hope they will carry them through and for you to be denied that is tragic. Is there any possibility you can talk this through with them and explain your point of view?
Sending you the strength you need to get through this difficult time and to stand up for what you believe to be right

Good for you, I can’t imagine someone taking over my husband’s funeral plans, I’d be devastated, it’s the last thing we can do for them and it needs to be right. Good luck, fight the good fight
