Feeling lost and no future

Lucy76 My husband of 57 years is dying in days of advanced prostate cancer that was diagnosed in July we were told he had years but somehow it spread everywhere within 6weeks and now he’s at the end I’m totally lost we where a very young at heart couple loved socializing, dancing and holidays all our friends are at least 10 years younger than us and couples and I don’t know what life alone I could have without him or where to start or imagine.

@Lucy76 I’m so sorry you are in this position. My husband passed away in April this year from metastatic prostate cancer. He was 67. He had treatment for about 3 years and we only found out in January it was terminal. Like your husband it spread everywhere in a short space of time. We thought he had much longer. Such a horrible disease. Keep chatting on here, it really helps. Sending hugs.

My husband died this morning but he had 3weeks of wonderful care in the hospice that was quality of life for him and gave me time to adjust to what was happening and what was going to happen.

@Lucy76 I’m sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing he had the best of care at the end. You are just starting a different difficult journey. Always here if you want to chat. Take care.
