Feelings of anxiety

Hi, i lost my mum 4 weeks ago quite suddenly, and have really struggled with anxiety ever since. I have some moments where i feel okay and grounded, but others where i become really anxious. Mornings seem to be the worst at the moment. Is this normal?

Hi, im sorry for your sudden loss.
I also experienced a sudden and unexpected loss and now have health anxiety. I get short of breath at times and overthink every little niggle. I went to my GP for a check up for my own wellbeing although it didnt help much.

Yes. The anxiety is common, also that it’s worse in the mornings. I’m very sorry for your loss and hope that you will find some comfort in reading and writing here. :heart:

There is nothing ‘normal’ about grief - everyone’s experience is different. I have found this community very helpful. I have had anxiety before mum died, at one point i couldn’t leave my house and mornings were always worse. Totally get that wave, of sometimes ok, sometimes a mess. Take care.
