Sorry it’s my first post so not really sure how to start. Lost my dad a month ago, he passed after an illness and I spent his last few weeks helplessly watching his health decline. At present, during the day I’m mostly ok- and when I feel sad I find a distraction, at night I’m struggling to fall asleep. I feel an overwhelming sadness and replay parts of his last few weeks in my head- I can’t stop myself or distract from it. Has anyone felt the same? How did you get through difficult nights?

Hello Bp, so sorry for the loss of your father, I think we all do that, we replay our loved ones last moments in our minds, because it was something so traumatic and its not easy to forget, ..apart from having a distraction, some people go to bereavement groups or visit their primary doctors who might prescribe something to help you sleep. I hope this site helps you talk about your emotions, it helps to talk to people who understand what you’re going through, take care of yourself and God bless you ![]()
