Hi all i met this lovely 70 yr old lady at a bereavement clup i joined is it wrong to go out for dinner and outings with her she is very good company and we get on well but i feel guilty just to know ifs its wrong she helps me alot any suggestions please x

Please don’t feel guilty - your beautiful wife would want for you to enjoy yourself. You have met this lady at the bereavement club for a reason - she will be going through grief too so support each other, share memories of your loved ones and smile. You deserve to x

I’ve joined a similar group, Widowed and Young (WAY) and everyone there is in the same horrible boat and can relate to each other and what you are feeling. So don’t feel guilty. If you can both take a little bit of happiness then your wife would want that wouldn’t she. After all, if the position was reversed, I’m sure you would want her to try to try to be happy where she could be, even if it is difficult to try to be.
