I’m getting married in summer. How do I cope without my dad?
When we booked the venue early 2023, we chose it because it had wheelchair access for him. I’d always pictured him with me as I walk down the aisle, even though he was in a wheelchair (like how it was at my sister’s wedding 4 years ago).
He passed away in summer 2023.
I have been busy with wedding planning, however, my mind keeps drifting towards the loss and not having him there.
I am looking forward to marrying the love of my life, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle my emotions on the day.
I found my birthday, Christmas and New Year’s hard, so
I am anxious about how I would be at my wedding. I would’ve wanted a “dance” with him on my wedding day.
What should I do?
