It took him awhile but I’ve been keeping the heat low and he learned to seek the bed overnight. I put a bell on it, he likes bells. Going to channel anger into housekeeping. Grocery delivery could not see or ring a doorbell yesterday so another day of being pushed off and billed for that. There is a sign and directions no one reads. Lesson learned. Trust is hard to come by at times however there are Glimmers. Be well and have a biscuit, my treat.

Late morning here but Peppy sends greetings. He is having a dried out broccoli and running around ringing his favorite bell.
He’s a lucky bird, you obviously look after him very well with all his home comforts, I don’t think we can underestimate how much comfort our animals give us when we are grieving.

Late morning here. Peppy was a good bird yesterday so he got a reward of his favorite toy this morning. A piece of cardboard.

The first sound he learned to mimic was me ripping up paper towels to cry into but it sounds more like a creaking door and it used to freak me out. When I didn’t rip them up sometimes I just use the whole roll like a giant swab. I bawled into hats, pillows, blankets, rugs, laundry, that should be a Dr Suess: Here And Beyond both Near and Far there is Nothing That I have Not Bawled Upon
Peppy was trained with my grabber pole so he wouldn’t fear my hands. I am cleaning behind the pole and he is hiding on his cage. He had a bit of cracker last evening and I imagine he wouldn’t complain that I am cleaning our room. Small steps!
Still morning here. Peppy got a beak trim and some kiwi as a reward. Don’t forget to brush your teeth this week

Peppy was very naughty today. He tried to eat my lip balm tube on my face while I was sleeping and he took a look at the trash and my mail. He has to go to his aviary tomorrow so I can properly clean in here and rest while he isn’t getting into mischief. He can eat mealworms in there also because he likes to eat them in my bed otherwise So delicious Must Share In your hair.
