Goodbye, and introducing your new community manager, Harriet

Hello everyone,

After four years, I’m moving onto a new role, so it’s time for me to say goodbye.

The community is a lifeline for people going through some of the toughest times. I have been awed every single day by the support that you so generously give and receive, and the care, empathy and understanding our members offer to each other.

As the community manager, thank you for trusting me to look after such a special space. No-one should face death or grief alone, and the online community is helping Sue Ryder to build a society where that is a reality. And a lot of that is because of you.

Meet Harriet, your new Online Community Manager

Your new Online Community Manager is @Harriet. Harriet brings with her over 10 years experience of managing online communities for the Alzheimer’s Society. She is here from 9am - 5pm every weekday, and her PMs are open if you have any questions, or need any help. As ever, you can also email online.community@sueryder.org if you need support.

Hi everyone,

Following @Seaneen’s post, I just wanted to introduce myself. I’ve loved seeing how supportive you all are to each other so far!

I can clearly see that Seaneen has been an incredible force in growing and transforming this community into the safe, supportive space it is today. I know I speak for everyone when I say a huge thank you to Seaneen for her dedication, hard work and the care she’s shown to each of you. She’s made such a positive impact, and I’ll be doing my best to continue the amazing work she’s done.

As mentioned, my PMs are open so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions. I want to make sure that this remains a safe, compassionate place for everyone.

I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming weeks and months :slightly_smiling_face:
