Could it be that the earth’s natural water cycle of evaporation, transpiration, condensation and precipitation is a model for reincarnation?

I guess as much as any cyclical event such as day and night or the seasons, but from my recollection of reincarnation in the Buddhist tradition reincarnation is linked to karma, that the ethical/moral choices we make in one life effect the form of reincarnation in the next, and so the cycle begins again, until, if ever, a perfect life is achieved that releases the soul from the cycle. I’m sorry but I don’t know the actual terms for these events and I am paraphrasing a lot. So I guess the cyclical nature of water you describe would offer an analogous model but it doesn’t contain the aspect of choice on the part of water.
