I came across this article on Apple News and it really resonated with me. The author lost his wife to a brain tumour a few years ago and thought he was doing reasonably well with life (the universe and everything), when suddenly grief hit him big time.

This is not an overly sad piece. It has much that is positive and in some places joyous. It also shows that grief is not linear, nor does it wane/change in linear fashion.
