Grief

I lost my partner and then just five weeks later my mum passed away too. I’m really struggling adapting to life without them, ive lost my whole world.

I’m Kate, part of the Sue Ryder Online Community team. I can see that you are new to the community - I’d like to thank you for bravely starting this thread and sharing how you are feeling. I’m so sorry to hear about your partner and your mum - it sounds like things are really tough right now.

Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one and so will understand some of what you are going through.

@Nlhx96 how brutal, I am sorry for your devastating losses. Words can offer little comfort but be assured that this forum is useful. Everyone here is trying to process and manage their experiences of loss and the pain of grief. Taking each fragment of time as it comes with a simple self preservation routine is essential. Grief is exhausting and you need physical strength to cope. Take care xx
