Grief

No one prepares you for how grief consumes you.
It’s not just tears, it’s the heartache.
A weight in your chest you can’t put down.
It’s the endless replay of “what if.”
The haunting thought of “what could have been”
And “never again.”
It’s waking up every day to a reality you never asked for and learning, somehow, to live with it.
But even in the hardest moments, there’s comfort in knowing that love doesn’t end, it stays with you quietly holding you together with a bond than can never be broken.

Hello. I don’t think anybody can ever prepare us for grief. But amongst all the heartache and sadness, I was drawn to your last few sentences. True love never dies, and our connection with whom we have lost remains too, it is just quieter, but just as strong.
