Grieving death of close family members

10 years ago I lost my very close grandad who I spent every day with growing up to cancer and 1 year ago I sadly lost my auntie who I used to spend every weekend with due to cancer too
I am really struggling with the fact they r both gone and never coming back and I have mental health and it’s having a bad fall on my mental health and I need advice on what I can do that might help

Hello @Naomi26,

I’m so sorry to hear about your granddad and auntie.

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support. You might already be familiar with our other Online Bereavement Support services, but if not, you can find out more about bereavement support, Grief Kind Spaces, and our Grief Guide self-help tools by visiting the link.

If you’re really struggling at the moment, it might be a good idea to make an appointment with your GP, or your mental health team if you’re under their care. You deserve support and don’t have to do this alone.

Take care - keep reaching out,
Seaneen

I refuse to reach out to crisis teams due to them never actually helping when I need it the most and I refuse to go GP as last time I went there they put me on antidepressants and antipsychotics and they made me 100 times worse than what I already was and I can’t bare to go back to that
