I feel so lonely without my husband, it’s a vast and physical ache.
I still haven’t managed to fulfil his wishes regarding his ashes, every task feels daunting.

Sorry for your loss. Try not to be too hard on yourself - every task is daunting when you’ve been bereaved. I think we’ve all found that. There are still things I put off which I haven’t done nearly two years later.
Hi Lazull. So sorry for your loss.
I am approaching 7 months of losing my partner Theresa and I have still not brought myself to do things that need done, it is not easy to get motivated while going through grief. Just take your time and don’t feel you have to do things within a time frame, let it take as long as it takes
Take care
Dear lazuli we are here trying to function lacking our other half, the half that that brought joy and love to this life. It’s hardly surprising we find everything so difficult nowadays. I’m sure you will get round to doing things but I’m also sure your husband only wants what is best for you as we would, were the situation the other way around. Thinking of you and sending hugs

Thank you for your kind and helpful words
Dear Tom, you expressed these truths so beautifully I couldn’t reply properly because I was so touched by your words. You are right, my lovely kind husband only wants what is best for me, and so would we. Thank you from my heart. And sending hugs back to you.
All the best, Lazuli ( Frances)
Hi Alex, I’m really sorry about your loss. You are so right about letting things take as long as they take. Yes we need to be gentle with ourselves.
Take care

Sorry for the O sent in error. I’m sorry for your loss too. Thank you for your reply and I will try not to be too hard on myself, that’s really good advice for us all. It’s comforting to know that these are struggles that we all share and there is a community out there.
All good wishes
Hi Lazul,
I’m so sorry for your loss. My husband died in 2024 and there are still things I haven’t done yet either. I miss him so much as I’m sure you miss your husband also. I can understand you not yet doing what was agreed on with his ashes. I think it would almost feel like you were losing him all over again. But you aren’t. His ashes are just a sweet reminder of what a wonderful husband I’m sure your husband was. He is up in Heaven and you will be reunited eventually in God’s time. It’ just hard being left behind. But take your problems to God and he will get you through this sad time. God is getting me through a sad time for me also. I’ll say a prayer for you. I wish you the best.
Snowy Evening
Lazuli,
