Hi @Piclke ,

Thank you so much for sharing this with the community :blue_heart: I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I just wanted to let you know that you have been heard and you are not alone.

Take good care,
Alex

No you are not alone. My husband died nearly 3 months ago. The first 8 weeks I thought I was coping ok but the last 3 weeks I’ve just fallen apart. Last week I couldn’t breath this week is the tears. A good friend who lost her husband 2 years ago said she was the same and you have just got to go with your emotions. This morning I feel a little stronger and meeting a friend for coffee. I am making myself go because I cant cope with these feelings anymore. He was the one I had coffee with, he was my sole mate. Try to be strong it’s very hard. As they say ..get through one day at a time. Look at all the other groups on here there are a lot of lovely caring people that will be there for you.

I’ve just bagged up may husband’s jackets and shoes that were still in porch…that’s just the start…can’t face going through his wardrobe. It’s so sad and upsetting

It is a very hard thing to do. What I did was 1st throw away his under clothes, socks and gardening clothes and shoes. Then a week later I took all his clothes and put them in 2 piles in our spare room, one for charity the other the bin. Bin ones i put into bin then the charity I folded neatly. I kept a few of the items that I know he liked and put them in my wardrobe. Those charity clothes I left in the spare room for weeks. I looked at them as I pasted. Then came the day to let them go and I did feel sad but it had to be. Sorry to ramble on, but it may help. Thing of you. Emma
