Heartbroken 😔

It’s been just over a year since I lost my beloved 17 year old JRT.

I dreaded the day ever coming, but wasn’t prepared for the absolute heartbreak I’ve felt since he’s passed.

I now understand when people say “a piece of me died with him/her that day too”.

Sending all the love to others feeling the same way. Until we all meet our cherished fur baby’s again.

I’m sorry you lost your beloved companion. They’re the most loyal friends and it’s dreadful when we have to say goodbye. When we lost our beloved Lakeland terrier I was heartbroken and contacted the blue cross pet loss support. I now have a 6 year old precious rascal, a border terrier and I love him to bits, but haven’t forgotten my beloved lakie. He’s in my heart, just like your JRT will always be in your heart. Take care

I just lost my dog 4 days ago. I can’t cope. I feel like I can’t even move. How did you get through to a year? :broken_heart::cry::pensive:

Hey, I’m so very sorry for your loss.

I’d love to say it gets easier, but I’d be lying - I guess you just learn to adapt to some sort of life without them.

I guess my piece of advice for you at this horrible time is to grieve however you feel necessary … hug your doggo’s toys, leave down their water dish, speak to them etc.

There’s no “quick fix” I’m afraid … you just gotta ride it through the best way possible.

Rest assured though, your beloved furry friend will be with you every step the of the way :raised_hands:t2::paw_prints::rainbow::two_hearts:
