Help

Please can anyone offer some advice? I’ve lost Mum, Dad and my sister at different points in the last 13 months. I’m struggling at times.
I’ve seen my Dr who thankfully said she didn’t feel like I need medication. I don’t! She gave me some links for self referral counseling. After spending a lot of time completing the online “assessment “ for the first one, and then being given a slot for a phone assessment today, I was told “oh we don’t do bereavement counselling.”
I’ve tried Cruse but can’t get through. Please can anyone offer any suggestions before I just give up on trying ?

The funeral parlour we used offered counselling through their S.A.I.F. scheme. I have 6 free phone sessions of 45 minutes each time. Maybe worth investigating.

I’m sorry you can’t get through to Cruse, @Daphne6. In the meantime, you may wish to try Grief Chat, where you can chat online to a grief counsellor for free. It’s available from 9am - 9pm Monday to Friday. If you visit:

then click on “Chat to a grief counsellor”, you can talk to someone now.

We also offer free online bereavement counselling, which you can register for on our website:

There is a bit of a waiting list at the moment, but if you register, our counsellors will be able to tell you more.

If you are able to pay for counselling, Grief Chat offer sessions, which you can book through their website:

I hope you find the support you need :blue_heart:

Take care,
