It has been quite difficult for me in the last couple of days, I wish I had known all the passwords on things like FB, etc.
I got David’s laptop and phone back off the police ( they took them because it was a sudden death) , I have spent hours this afternoon going through things, cancelling and deleting accounts. Some passwords I knew, others I had no idea and had to second guess them. I think I have managed to sort out most things but it would’ve been a lot easier if we had written our passwords in a little book that only we knew about. I am going to put a list of passwords into my important papers box so whoever has to sort out my affairs will have one less thing to worry about.
Hello @penny6,
I’m so sorry for the loss of your boyfriend David. Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m just giving your thread a gentle, “bump” for you - hopefully someone will have some thoughts to share.
Take good care,
Alex
My partner emailed all his accounts and passwords before he passed.
It was part of all his ‘advanced planning’
It did make things much easier but there were still lots that he’d forgotten about.
Please do take care where you store the info if you decide to do that…
