He had a green thumb. And the ladies of the night plants used to be quite an event for us… For years. He started with one small piece and kept planting them all over our patios. Side, front and back. We would go to the patios at midnight and take video and photos of the midnight blooms.We were like kids in a candy store. A thrill that is now a memory. It happened last night- but I couldn’t go outside. Yet the flowers stayed mostly opened in the daytime. Simple things keep tugging at the heart. Everyday details are always adding up. Does anyone have a special gardening detail that is attached to their deceased spouse? I am forever grateful for this site where one can express feelings and thoughts freely without judgement.

I love them! Think it’s too cold for them here though, we’d need a hot conservatory
