Hi im new here just looking for some help i have just lost my mum,she had a 3 bed council house which i would love to move into,i have a 4 bed council house,wat are the chances of me getting my mums house and giving them the keys back to my 4 bed house any help would be grateful
Hi Claire I work in housing in Wales, so our rules are slightly different,
We only have Housing associations here.
I would think your main problem is that even though you are down sizing they might be reluctant to give you a three bed unless you have the people to fill them.
Please don’t give up your tenancy until you are absolutely sure that you will move into a house you actually want.
I would get advice from an agency such as CAB before you approach the landlord.
