How do I find the words?

Last year, in the course of 6 months, I have lost my sister, my husband and a son. My mind keeps going over everything that has happened and I feel a numbness that I cannot explain. I cannot find the words to be able to talk about my loss. I lost another son 5 years ago and because of covid I had been unable to see him. I knew he was suffering and I could do nothing to help.

Dear mumofsix I am so sorry to hear your suffering. I don’t know what to say about so much pain. My wife died six months ago on Christmas day after suffering two years of cancer treatments. When she died my world was destroyed and the pain was unbearable. I had no idea that one could be so physically overwhelmed by pain of being separated from your loved one. I can’t imagine your suffering after losing so many loved ones in such a short period of time. I’m not surprised you are numb. I hope you have support around you, it’s so important to be able to express your pain and be able talk it though. This site has been a godsend for me as I am alone. Everyone here understands the pain and suffering involved in a bereavement. I hope you find a little solace here.

Wishing you all the strength you will need. Thinking of you and sending hugs

Tom

More recently we have lost my sister, my other sisters 2 children. Her husband and more recently my husband who died suddenly from a heart attack 9 months ago . All I can tell is I take one day at a time don’t look too far ahead into the future. Get through the days the best I can.

Thank you. I am hoping I can find a way to express my feelings on here. At the moment I find I am bottling things up as I don’t want to burden my children because they are grieving too.

Dear mumofsix on this site you can let out all your pain and suffering. We have all found comfort from expressing our grief. The more we talk and express out feelings the better as it’s a form of therapy.

Wishing you all the strength you need
