Hi @Robin3 . Whilst I’m not certain I fully understand what you describe as repressed feelings, I do know from personal experience that many of us suffer from painful memories we keep revisiting, and then get really hurt by them. I certainly did for a couple of years after my wife died, until I started to look seriously at the use of mindfulness.
I’d looked for help online, but only found it interesting, but not helpful, because all it did was describe the principle of it, but not how to get there.
So I looked for someone who would coach me on the correct techniques, and support me practicing these techniques. All done surprisingly as a group, very effectively on zoom.
In just one or two months, it has changed how I manage these wandering thoughts and my life has completely turned around.
It’s one of these things you need to do properly, or not at all.
