I hope your cousin can claim some if not all of her money back . It’s a horrible and stressful thing to experience. About 10 year ago I was scammed on a credit card it took about 18 months to finally get my money back . I contacted the financial ombudsman who helped me draft letters and gave me the time line that the company involved had to respond. They were really helpful, maybe worth well checking it out.
