That can be a good thing. The unexamined life… as they say. Gotta learn to rest between performances.

School is one of the most all consuming work places and workload is ridiculous at the best of times so you have to ensure you make time to look after yourself in small ways and often. I have taken the decision to step back and take a huge pay decrease in order to nurture my own wellbeing and mental health through this period of grieving as I dont think I would be able to cope. Also counting down the days till the 13th!

Yes I have 7 working days til half term. I also have a training day. I’m hoping I can hold it together till then. If not I need to focus on myself and look after myself. Are you in a school too ?

Yes! I have stood back from teaching for the time being, I handed my notice in and finished the end of December, I am now a TA/HLTA in a much smaller school for a while so much less hours and stress while still keeping in the loop. x

Perhaps there is some support you can access through work? Does the mental health lead know how you are feeling and the pressure you are under each day to put a mask on? Please know that you are not alone and there will be poeple like us everywhere doing the same thing but feeling utterly alone. Lot’s of love. x
