My father passed in February 2023 i received a text message from my mother that my father had cancer .Has anyone else been told their relative has cancer by text ?
I am sorry u found out by text about your dads cancer this must have been very hard.
My mother has dementia so she never understood how poorly dad was. I attended his appointments . He passed away in July my mother has never cried this has been painful at times x
There are things i go over about his care at the hospital but i try to hold on to the loving caring moments . Sending u hugs and hope sharing your thoughts helps you in time x

Im so sorry for your loss and dementia is so hard for everyone .My mothers reason for sending me the text was that we weren’t in a good place her and myself .But i dont care what you think at the time you tell your daughter face to face about a cancer diagnosis of your father .
