These nights are so empty
This house is so drab
Sleep seems to have left me
Just like my love has

I just can’t close my eyes
For more than a minute or two
Then I’m wide awake
Really missing you

I really am so tired
I’m miserable too
Without the love of my life
What am I to do

I just can’t close my eyes

I know I must look forward
And be the best I can
But how do I do that
Without my loving man

These nights are long and lonely
Without you by my side

Until the day I die.
