my sweet boy ozzie has been with us since i was 4, and he’s been my entire world ever since. he was declining fast these past few weeks and we had to make the agonising decision to let him go. he’s done so much for us, the least we could do is listen to him when he tells us it’s time. but my god i miss my baby. we have 5 animals still but the house somehow feels empty without him. my bed feels too big. he should be here, sleeping soundly in his spot right above my head. i’m struggling so badly without my sweet boy.

What a beautiful boy 
. Losing a beloved pet is so hard and heartbreaking. When I lost my beautiful boy to canine dementia I contacted the Blue Cross pet bereavement support line. I just wanted to explain to somebody how guilty I felt about letting him go. They were very helpful and understanding. Maybe you might feel you could contact them, although I know it’s not for everyone. Take care of yourself.
