I’m really struggling with grief at the moment. My grandad sadly passed away in 2021 to Covid I always blame myself for his death that it was my fault for him dying Im just so angry and hurt as he didn’t deserve any of this and I always wished it was me instead of him. Im struggling to move on with my life because I’m stuck grieving for my grandad it’s now been 4 years on and Im still struggling to move on the rest of my family have moved on but I can’t seem to move forward. I get very tearful when im constantly thinking about my grandad. I now suffer with severe ptsd and anxiety since loosing him as I get really horrible flashbacks of when it happened. I need help with finding ways of managing my grief.
Hello @KatieC1,
Thank you for so bravely sharing this with the community. I’m so sorry to hear about your grandad.
I hope you find the community to be a support to you. Many of our members have experienced the death of their grandparent and will understand some of what you’re going through. I’m not sure if you’ve seen our Losing a grandparent category. But there you will find lots of conversations from other members who are coping with their grief. You may find some comfort in knowing you are not alone.
You may also find these Sue Ryder resources helpful right now.
