I Wish You Were Still Here by Lilly Roberts

People ask if grief gets easier. The truth is, you just learn to carry it.
You learn to wake up with the ache.
You learn to smile while your heart still hurts.
You learn to keep living with someone missing from every part of your life.
But there will always be a quiet place inside your heart that whispers “I wish you were still here” because I’m still here loving you with nowhere to put the love.
And maybe that’s what grief is. Learning to carry a love that has nowhere to go because love doesn’t end when someone dies, it simply finds a new place to live inside the heart of the one who still misses them.
