My husband Jim died in July..at first I kept myself busy with all the red tape and form filling that comes with a bereavement..and our dog gave me a reason to get up in the morning.
I live in a very rural small village in Scotland, people are lovely..we only moved in early March then my husband’s heart health started to get worse..I really thought I was coping pretty well..but yesterday I had to go for a hospital appointment and he used to take me, I had to book a lift with a volunteer group as I’m not a confident driver at the moment..I was tears in the waiting room because he wasn’t there, then I realised how lost I am without him..he retired in 2021 and we were together 24/7..and yes sometimes he would drive me mad, but now I would give anything to hear his chuckle and see some of the daft things he used to do..his so called ‘friends’ and family said all the right things at the time, with offers of support etc, but now they have been silent..and now I’m crying non stop..Thanks for reading
