Lighting a Christmas Eve Candle 2022, 2023 and 2024

@Jeff007
I have many photos and things in the house that remind me of happier times before she became poorly ! I hold the happy memories in my heart and I will love her to the end of time !

Bereavement is about loss not just death and Elissa had counselling from Sue Ryder to help her come to terms with this after she was diagnosed!

The bereavement process started some way back for both of us and I am slowly starting to go out, see friends and spend time with people that I’ve not been able to do especially in the last year or so

See you all at 7. Candles for my beautiful mam (second year anniversary, third Christmas) and now my little Porscha (first Christmas after 18 years together). Will light up my Christmas trees and shrine. Such a wonderful thing to do together. Dreading Christmas alone, again. But knowing that you are all here with me stops me giving up entirely. See you all then and I’ll be posting pics afterwards
Lots of love xxx

Great idea. Missing my only sister so much right now. She loved Christmas and wouldn’t want me to be sad. She told me ‘ no grieving’ but I can’t help it. I will smile for her tomorrow when I light my candle and will hold everyone who is grieving in my thoughts when I do :two_hearts:

I cannot imagine the pain of losing your sister, my own sister and I are so close I couldn’t bare to lose her.

If she has asked you not to grieve that’s an impossible thing to ask of you but you can try to concentrate on your happy times, the good memories and fill the hole with these as much as you can
