I lit my candle for my beloved husband who died 10 week ago. I miss him so very much. Love to everyone at this difficult time of year x

My candle all be it an electric one with my hubby Barrie, it will be 8 months to the day on Boxing day and this grief is still as raw as it was on the he left, the little wooden hanger on his photo is from St.Barnabas who every year hold a candle lit procession in Lincoln UK to honour those loved ones who are no longer with us, for a donation you can have a light added to the tree outside the Cathedral with the loved ones name on and when you do you are sent one of these to hang on our own tree, but I’ve not put up any decorations this year so I have it on his photo where it will stay, as quite simply he lit up my life, St.Barnabas are a fantastic group who take care of those at end of life and the family too, I am indebted to them so will continue as much as possible to support them and the work they do, you can join the procession but due to my own health I couldn’t manage it but the procession can be watched live…sending many blessing to you all.

I lite my candle at my Parish church on Friday as I would be away at my son’s on Christmas eve
. He lit two candles last night one for his dad and one for Chris it was good to share it and not be on my own . Take care today everyone x

This is my second Christmas without my beloved Janet . Somehow we all have to get through the day the best we can . We must try to find some happiness … That will make our lost loved ones happy too . Having the candles lit last night was lovely . I shed many tears but could feel the love from all of you . It was a very powerful and heartwarming experience .

I agree Noel it was a very heartwarming experience.It was knowing all over the countrry we wers all lighting a candle ar the same time four loved ones.My only child Mark earlier this year and ny beloved hubby Chris 12 years now Lov e Matrg xxx

I felt the same, I couldn’t settle till around 3am too many tears which started again as soon as i woke up this morning, had a few hours with son and family yesterday and today im with my daughter, wishing you all a peaceful day.
